The March 2022 issue of Horizon, the EU Research and Innovation Magazine, focused on gender equality in research and innovation.

In the final article of the month, , the W4RES Coordinator spoke about the role played by women in the renewable heating and cooling market in Europe.

"On the energy transition, our perspective is that women can make a huge change,” he told the Magazine.

Yes, women do, and can, make huge changes to the renewable heating and cooling market in Europe, also in Denmark. The article focuses much on the skills and competences women can bring to the market - I will also emphasize that women also bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the market (as 1/2 of the end-users/consumers).

I agree wholeheartedly with W4RES Coordinator. The importance of women in the energy sector is extremely important in developing countries too. Women are in average more sensible to energy poverty and open to adopt long-term solution to solve this problem.
